Under the premise \u201cA tourist destination is the reflect of its community\u201d, many efforts have been held in order to support many laudable projects in Los Cabos, such as Coraz\u00f3n de Ni\u00f1o which donates heart surgeries for children with heart diseases; Red Autismo, a civil association that help children with autism; Amigos de los Ni\u00f1os that brings quality health care in Los Cabos to children up to the age of 18 who have no other means of receiving it, just to name a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, <strong>Solmar Foundation together with United Way Mexico Foundation, International Community Foundation and Club de ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as (Boys and Girls Club) de Baja California Sur<\/strong>, have joined forces in order to <strong>guarantee the children\u2019s universal right to play<\/strong>. For this matter, they have inaugurated a \u201c<strong>Ludoteca\u201d or playroom<\/strong> that seeks to provide a joyful space for the kids\u2019 and adolescents\u2019 integral development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Psychomotricity, language disorders, sociability, cognitive and emotional abilities, specific knowledge, creativity and first and foremost, divertissement are part of the thorough program led by specialists at the Ludoteca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Did you know?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The importance of games and playful activities were recognized in 1959, with the Declaration of the Rights of the Child.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.solmar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/SOLMAR_RS4.jpg\" alt=\"golf-los-cabos\" class=\"wp-image-2484\" title=\"SOLMAR_RS4\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>A little bit of history<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solmar Foundation was founded in 2011, but the history goes back to 1955, when Luis Bulnes Molleda, founder of Solmar Hotels &amp; Resorts, was appointed General Manager of the only tuna packing company in Mexico, based in Los Cabos. Even when this destination is classified among the best in the world, 60% of its population lives in poverty and with limited access to education and health services, as well as job opportunities. Don Luis \u2014as he was respectfully known\u2014 was an empathic person who firmly believed that a destination is a reflection of its inhabitants: if they live a quality life, it directly impacts the well-being and tourist safety of the destination.
