Smooth, silky textured, and nuanced, Nixta is the purest form of ancestral corn distillation with roasted corn aromas, sweet and creamy textures of atole, and a finish of roasted nuts and dried fruit. Serve neat, on the rocks, or as a distinctive cocktail enhancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • 2 oz Nixta<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 1 1\/2 oz Whisky Bourbon<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 1\/2 oz Lemon (yellow)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 1\/2 oz Agave syrup<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 1\/2 oz Mezcal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 10 gr Roasted corn<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 2 slices Ginger<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Garnitures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Dried grapefruit<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Lemon zest<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Cinnamon stick<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      Preparation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Crush the ginger slices and place them in a shaker with ice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Add the roasted corn at the same time as the cordials and shake well until chilled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Strain and serve in a clay cantarito<\/em> glass.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Decorate with the garnitures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Jilo, from Jilotepec, is a charming town in Estado de Mexico in central Mexico, meaning \u201cThe place of sweet corn\u201d in Otom\u00ed<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        • 2 oz Nixta<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • 1 \u00bd oz Tequila<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • 1 oz Hibiscus flower bitters<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • 1 oz Lemon juice<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • 10 ml Angostura bitters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Garnitures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          • Sweet corn<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Dehydrated lemon<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Worm salt to rim<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Preparation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            • In a shaker with ice, add all the ingredients except the Angostura bitters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Shake until cold, serve in an old fashion glass rimmed with worm salt, and finish with a dash of Angostura.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Mix one last time using a cocktail spoon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Decorate with a slice of lemon and corn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
