When Your Second Home Becomes Your First Choice

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Dear Members, Residents & Guests,

We are excited to share that after receiving authorization from the Baja California Sur state government, Solmar Hotels & Resorts is officially open and ready for your return. While it’s been quiet around here without you, we have been diligently preparing for your return by implementing new, enhanced safety and sanitation measures, adjusting processes and amenities to ensure your well-being, and training our staff so that your experience remains as amazing as it always has been. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Safety & Sanitation

Our new safety & cleanliness procedures are extensive to ensure your well-being while staying with us. From arrival to departure, no area or detail has been left uncovered and we want you to rest assured that we’ve thought of everything. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Solmar Team

Our team is well prepared after undergoing extensive training on the new safety and cleanliness protocols during this time apart, while ensuring that our commitment to service excellence will remain untouched. From personal protection gear to daily health checks, our employees are ready for the return of guests and members. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”membersres”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Members, Residents and Guests

Your well-being is our top priority and so we appreciate your understanding of new procedures and amenities in place such as distancing measures and less capacity in certain areas, adjusted operation schedules, antibacterial stations, temperature checks, increased cleaning frequencies, to name a few.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”housekeeping”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Housekeeping

Enhanced cleaning procedures in housing keeping is essential, which is why we have updated our products to hospital-grade quality, incorporated new technologies to ensure all spaces are sanitized well, removed unnecessary decor items to reduce the possibility of transmission, and adjusted check-in times to provide enough time for thorough cleanings between stays. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”foodbeverage”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Food & Beverage

While our gastronomy offering remains unmatched, you’ll notice some adjustments to the experience including staff wearing face masks and safety goggles, modified floor plans to respect social distancing and reduced capacity, new practices at buffet-style restaurants to avoid self-serving, increased cleaning frequencies and adjusted procedures to provide contactless room-service.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”commonareas”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Common Areas

Among the adjustments you’ll notice in the common areas include increased spacing between lounge chairs for best distancing among guests in the pool area, antibacterial stations placed throughout, continuous cleaning and disinfecting of spaces, information signage to serve as reminders, employees using face masks and safety goggles at valet parking and luggage stations, temperature taking stations, acrylic sneeze guards at check-in and more. For members’ convenience, masks are not required in open common areas like pools and hallways. However, members, residents and guests are required to wear masks in closed common areas like spa lobbies, restaurants (before being seated and when walking around the restaurant), etc.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”destinationm”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Los Cabos Destination Measures

When it comes to Mexico, Los Cabos has always been a leader especially in providing a safe and welcoming environment for its visitors. This has been no different throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, with the Tourism Board providing continuous updates on their website. Most recently, the destination was one of the first to obtain the Safe Travels Seal from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), demonstrating a stamp of approval in hygiene and sanitary measures from the organization whose guidelines are based on other important international standards from top institutions such as the World Tourism Organization and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

At the San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD), enhanced safety measures and cleaning procedures are already being applied to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections and ease customer concerns, while keeping air travel safe. These measures are in accordance with Mexico’s Health Department, the Federal Aviation Agency (AFAC) and the Airports Council International (ACI). Among the measures you will notice include infrared thermometers, thermographic cameras, informative signage, social distancing requirements, sanitizations stations, individual protection measures such as plexiglass shields, as well as increased disinfection of spaces especially in highly frequented areas and high-touch surfaces. For more information visit the Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico’s website, the management company of 14 airports across the Pacific coast.  https://www.aeropuertosgap.com.mx/en/[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”beaches”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Beaches

On June 15, Los Cabos finally opened its beaches after implementing new protocols and distancing measures. Informational signage has been placed throughout as reminders of capacity regulation and proper distribution of gatherings. Local authorities, civil protection and additional lifeguard services in some areas are in place to assure a safe return and the safe enjoyment of the areas. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”transportation”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Local Transportation

While guests and members always have the option of coordinating airport transfers directly with the resorts, the destination has applied additional measures with local transportation partners including: continuous cleaning after each shift and customer use, wearing face masks during transfers and requesting that passengers only use the backseat to increase distancing.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”tours”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Tours & Attractions

Tours & attractions may also feel a bit different for the time being, including hosting smaller groups to avoid crowds and permit safe distancing. Staff will have their health closely monitored, while also wearing personal protection gear and using sanitizing gel at all times.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
