Stay alert to fraudulent offers and safeguard your Vacation Membership.
Please review the latest scams that have been identified and reported.
• Offers to accelerate more than four weeks per year. Some fraudulent agencies are contacting members with an offer to accelerate weeks from their contracts. These offers are generally for no more than 4 weeks per year, they offer rental and financial benefits.
• Companies interested or inquiring to purchase your vacation membership. Some companies may contact members to purchase directly or to sell the vacation membership contract. They claim to offer competitive prices for timeshare memberships. They also ask for payments to be made via wire transfers for taxes or fees.
• Tradable Solmar stock. Some agents impersonate Solmar representatives by claiming the member is the beneficiary or holder of Solmar tradable shares due to a merger or public offering. The false claim is that if the shares are not claimed within a certain number of days, Solmar will reclaim it, there is no such stock options in existence.
