Solmar Foundation: First Mobile Blood Bank in Los Cabos

At Solmar Hotels & Resorts, hospitality goes hand in hand with community responsibility. Through Solmar Foundation, and as proud partners of Los Cabos Community Alliance, we are thrilled to share a historic milestone achieved this past quarter: the official launch of the region’s very first Mobile Blood Bank.

Bridging a Critical Healthcare Gap

Until recently, the nearest emergency blood supply was located in the state capital, La Paz. In critical medical emergencies, this distance often caused dangerous delays. The new Mobile Blood Bank is transforming healthcare in our destination by ensuring an immediate and accessible blood supply right here in the municipality.

This state-of-the-art mobile unit will run regular local donation campaigns, educate potential donors, and maintain a registry of local blood donors to help safeguard both local residents and our valued guests.

Your Generosity in Action

Every alliance we forge and every life we impact is made possible by your continuous trust and generosity. To help keep this vital healthcare project fully operational over the next five years, we invite you to make a direct contribution by scanning the official QR codes available throughout our resorts.

Looking Ahead: Upcoming August Initiative

  • We are also proud to share a preview of our next major initiative, “Jornada Unidos de Corazón,” taking place in August 2026. In partnership with Ayuda a Corazón de Niño, this project will fund highly specialized cardiac treatments for children and teenagers across Baja California Sur, allowing them to receive life-saving care close to home, without having to leave the state.
